Wanda Lou Willis will be presenting the film "Central State: An Asylum for the Insane " in which she has a small part and some voice overs. The presentation will be at the next Sisters in Crime meeting on May 17th, at noon at the Mystery Company in Carmel. You do not have to be a member of Sisters in Crime to attend the film. Synopsis

Produced and directed by filmmaker Dan T. Hall, this film takes an exclusive tour through the grounds and buildings of the abandoned Central State Mental Institution in Indianapolis. With a team of experts in the fields of psychology, the paranormal, and folklore history, Hall uncovers the mysteries left behind and forgotten when the facility closed its doors in 1994. Interviews with former staff and "Patient X" give the viewers an intimate account of their experiences in the asylum -- medical treatments and paranormal experiences. Though intended as a documentary Hall and his cast and crew encountered and experienced numerous paranormal events. 
Warning: May be disturbing to some viewers.

 

Indiana Author Fair

Lorri Sankowsky and Keri Young, authors of "Ghost Hunter's Guide to Indianapolis" have been invited to participate in the Indiana Author Fair, hosted by the Greenwood Public Library. They will be signing/selling books and mingling with some great local authors such as Wanda Lou Willis and the Sisters In Crime Mystery Writers.

The Bookmark Cafe will have 'author inspired' specials and punch and cookies will be served from 1-2 pm.

Please stop by and show your support for local authors and pick up some great reading material too!

Columbus, Indiana is host to the oldest theater in the State of Indiana: the Crump Theatre, which was built in 1889 by John Crump. Today, the building is a historical landmark and is also an all-ages venue where bands perform occasionally.
